The election of Dr. John Slawson, executive director of the Jewish Board of Guardians, as chairman of the eighty-five protective and correctional agencies in Greater New York engaged in combating juvenile delinquency was announced Tuesday. The group is composed of public and private agencies and is now working on the problems of planning coordination and raising the standards of work.
Dr. Slawson was formerly director of the Jewish Welfare Federation. He is the author of “The Delinquent Boy.”
