The appointment of Isidore D. Morrison, Zionist leader and contributor of $100,000 to the Hebrew University, as treasurer of the Palestine Emergency Fund, was announced today.
“I urge upon all Jews to come to the assistance of stricken Palestine. The need is great; hunger, privation and suffering confronts thousands of Jews. Many of the Jewish farmers’ crops, representing a season’s labor and capital have been entirely destroyed. Then livestock has either been slaughtered or stolen,” Mr. Morrison stated, urging that checks be sent to the Palestine Emergency Fund at 111 Fifth Avenue, New York.
