This colony, which has received the status of a town, inaugurated its Town Council today with a meeting attended by Government officials and Arab leaders, among others. Nathania, founded in 1928 by the Nathania Society of New York, is named for Nathan Straus, late American Jewish philanthropist. Oved Ben-Ami, mayor of Nathania, was elected president of the council.
