A National Conference for Biro-Bidjan will be held in New York on Mar. 9 and 10, the American Biro-Bidjan Committee and the ICOR Association, joint sponsors of the conference, announced today.
The conference will be devoted to furthering “work on behalf of the thousands of Jewish refugee war orphans” in Biro-Bidjan, to enlisting the support of American Jews for Biro-Bidjan as an “available avenue of refuge and rehabilitation” for Jewish survivors in Europe, and to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the establishment of Biro-Bidjan as a Jewish autonomous region.
