Formation of a National Honor Corps which would provide “elite volunteer leadership in new and untried areas of building inter-religions and inter-racial brotherhood” was announced here today by the National Conference of Christians and Jews. Mrs. Robert Z. Greene was named as chairman of the new group.
Members in the corps, according to the announcement, will be limited to outstanding Americans who, during the last 33 years, had won the NCCJ’s Brotherhood Awards. These include President Kennedy; Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller; Dr. Ralph J. Bunche, United Nations Under secretary; and Earl Warren, Chief Justice of the United States.
