National Council of Jewish Women Meets in Los Angeles

The Twelfth Triennial Convention of the National Council of Jewish Women will open here on Sunday evening, January 12, with a public meeting at the B’nai B’rith Temple, when the delegates will be welcomed by the community. After the invocation by Rabbi Mayer Winkler of Temple Sinai, addresses of welcome will be delivered by the Governor of California, the Mayor of Los Angeles, Mrs. Lillian Burkhart Goldsmith, president of the Los Angeles Section, and Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin of B’nai B’rith Temple. Mrs. Hannah G. Solomon, honorary president and founder of the National Council of Jewish Women, will respond to the addresses of welcome, and the address of the evening will be delivered by Mrs. Joseph E. Friend, president of the National Council of Jewish Women.
