A delegation of young National Democrats, headed by the presidents of the Students Union, visited the highest Catholic authorities to thank the Archbishops “For the protection and assistance given to youths who were arrested in connection with the disturbances.”
The Archbishops, it is understood, pointed out that the imprisoned youths left their prisons unbroken in spirit and promised co-operation to console the groups downcast because of the arrest of their leaders.
