A national budget of $1,474,485 to finance the 1950 activities of the National Jewish Welfare Board was endorsed by the organization’s finance council and adopted by the J.W.B.’s executive committee here today.
The funds will make possible services and programs of the J.W.B. in the coming year in the three areas in which it serves the American Jewish community–as the national association of 321 Jewish community centers and YM-YWHA’s; as the organization accredited by the U.S. Government to meet the religious, morals and welfare needs of Jewish servicemen and hospitalized veterans; and as the sponsor of cultural agencies such as the American Jewish Historical Society, National Jewish Music Council, Jewish Book Council of America, National Jewish Youth Conference and the Jewish Center Lecture Bureau.
