Leaders of the Zionist Organization of America and of Hadassah were urged today to lend their active support to the observance of National Zionist Youth Week which starts Saturday evening with nationwide conferences at which the significance of youth education for the future of the Zionist movement and of the American Jewish community will be underscored.
In a joint proclamation issued by Benjamin G. Browdy, president of the Z.O.A., and Mrs. Rose Halprin, president of Hadassah, the leaders were told that “the future of Zionism is being forged today on the anvil of youth.” The proclamation pointed out that “the direction given to and taken by our young people will determine the quality of tomorrow’s Jewish community.”
