A call to the people of Czechoslovakia to give all possible assistance to the Jews there, broadcast over the London radio by the Czechoslovakian Foreign Minister Jan Nasaryk, elicited a prompt Nazi reply over the Prague radio confirming that the annihilation of Jews in the Czech Protectorate continues, it was reported here today by the Czechoslovak Press Bureau.
The Prague broadcast was made by Moravec, the Protectorate’s Quisling Minister of Education. “The fact that he considered an answer necessary shows that Czechoslovakia listens to the London broadcasts, in spite of the death penalty and the German and Quisling denials,” the Czechoslovak authorities here emphasized. Moravec stated that “the fate of the Jews is sealed not only in Europe but throughout the world.” Using the usual Nazi anti-Semitic arguments, Moravec tried to convince his listeners that “were it not for the Jews, the war would have been over long ago.”
