Opinion in influential German circles is definitely turning against the anti-Jewish policy pursued by the Hitler regime, President M. Horowitz of the Jewish Representative Council declared in announcing postponement of the international boycott conference, which was to have been held in London.
The boycott leader announced that, if assurances were not forthcoming that…. Germany would restore all political and civil rights of the Jews, the boycott would be prosecuted with redoubled vigor.
Non-sectarian in character, the boycott conference, which had been scheduled to open on October 15, attracted many non-Jewish anti-Nazi groups, including delegations from sixteen European countries.
