A former Nazi SS officer, charged in West Germany but never tried there for murdering Jews during World War II, was sentenced by a court here today to five years imprisonment, after being convicted of using a false name to enter this country.
The man is Karl Freyman, who came to Brazil several years ago under the alias of Karl Marie Jeske. West German authorities had notified Brazil that he is charged with murder of Jews, but has, thus far, not requested his extradition.
