Praise for the work of Jewish cultural unions as possessing “a specific nationalistic mission” was expressed here yesterday by Hans Hinkel, Nazi commissar for “non-Aryan” culture in Germany. He addressed a convention of the unions.

A report made public at the meeting said that although 500 “non-Aryan” artists are employed in “ghetto” theatres, 2,000 are still unemployed and struggling for existence.

Jewish Cultural Week was formally opened yesterday with an imposing exhibition of art and literary work.
