Nazi graffiti was scrawled on buildings in Romania. Swastikas and Nazi slogans were among the German phrases discovered in the city of Cluj. The city’s police chief dismissed the vandalism as child’s play. But Gavrila Goldener, a Jewish community leader, said the community is taking the incident seriously.

A new group was formed for the descendants of Holocaust survivors. The Federation of Descendants of Jewish Holocaust survivors, formed over the weekend in Toronto, will provide resources for groups and individuals in North America and will link the survivor community via the Internet.
