Westdeutscher Beobachter, a Nazi organ, demanded today a nation-wide ban on the works of Sigrid Undset, Norwegian authoress, for publishing a book in Lucerne, Switzerland, on the danger to Christianity through “racial insanity” and persecution of Jews.
The paper insisted that her books must “disappear from all libraries and book stores in Germany,” adding, “She may write for any country she pleases, but there is no place for her in Germany.”
