The League of Nations was bitterly assailed today by Der Angriff, Nazi organ, for considering the extension of Nansen passports for use by refugees from Germany.
The article is based on the recent deliberations of a committee of experts in Geneva, during which various Jewish relief organizations testified as to the need for League aid to be extended to German-Jewish refugees. Although no reports about the Geneva meeting have appeared in the German press, it is obvious from the article that the German Government watched the meeting carefully.
Concluding its attack on the League, Der Angriff expresses wonder at “what moral rights these refugees have to pose as martyrs.”
