Instructions published today in the Deutsche Polizeibeamte, German police gazette, empower policemen to arrest without a warrant Jews seen in the company of “Aryan” women at restaurants and other public places.
Although at the present time there are no laws prohibiting Jews from dancing with “Aryan” women, or “Aryans” from selling realty to Jews, the gazette points out that arrests in such cases are justified in the interests of preserving order.
The instructions further point out that section 14 of the police code is “most elastic” and entitles policemen to act on their own discretion “in the spirit of the Nazi aims.”
