Jacob Suritz, Soviet Jewish diplomat and newly appointed ambassador to Nazi Germany, arrived here today. He was greeted with pomp and ceremony by a guard of honor of black-shirted special Hitler guards, representatives of the German Foreign Office, as well as members of the Soviet Embassy.
His predecessor in the Berlin post was Leo Kintchuck, another Soviet Jewish diplomat.
