The Nazi race theory was sharply repudiated today by Chancellor Schuschnigg, addressing a women’s detachment of the Ostmaerkische Sturmscharen, the storm troops of Austria.
The Austrian Chancellor described the theory advocated by the Nazis in Germany as a “terrible way of thinking.”
“This theory fails completely to see the real values,” the Chancellor said.
Chancellor Schuschnigg called upon the women of Austria not to be misled by the “blood myth,” promulgated by the Nazis. He ridiculed the propaganda carried on in Germany on race purification, and said that “this propaganda is based on the belief in the mystery of spirit.”
