The deportation of large numbers of Jews from the fortress of Therezin in the Czech Protectorate to the German-occupied part of the Ukraine known as Transnistria, which is under Rumanian administration, is reported today in the London press.
Thousands of Jews who were transported from their homes in Germany, Austria Slovakia and the Czech Protectorate to the fortress are already en route to Transnistria, the report stated. The remainder will follow in the near future as a result of the Nazi plan to make the Protectorate “judenrein” in March, the account stated.
