The establishment of a Jewish ghetto in Odessa “in retaliation for Jewish sabotage” is announced today in the German press, according to the Berlin correspondent of the Dagens Nyheter, a Swedish newspaper. The ghetto will be located in the neighborhood of the Jewish cemetery.
The Jews in Odessa, the correspondent reports, are driven by the Nazi military police to the outskirts of the city where they are forced to demolish the bunkers and barricades which block the roads to the city. They are also forced to demolish the barricades in the center of the city and to remove the sandbags from the buildings.
