A new anti-Jewish boycott has been launched in Silesia and an official list of ‘Aryan’ stores issued for the city and district of Glogau. The inhabitants are urged to buy only in these shops.
Instead of the old method of publishing the names of Jewish firms to be avoided, the new method is to publish the list of approved ‘Aryans’ firms to be patronized. The reason for the change of policy seems that the instigators of the boycott movement have discovered that the publication of Jewish stores give them free advertising. The people patronize blacklisted stores, hopeful of low prices.
The new approved list is published in the Nordschlesische Tageszeitung of Glogau, which calls upon its readers to cut out the list and hang it up on a wall for future reference.
The list has been issued, it explains, with the approval of the district government of Glogau, the Federal Union of German Newspaper Publishers and the Canvassing Division for German Business.
