The plan to resettle temporarily in Italy a large number of displaced Jews from Germany and Austria has struck a snag, it was learned here.

Even though the original figure of 25,000 was cut down to 10,000 by American Military Government representatives, who suggested the resettlement scheme, the negotiations with the Italian Government have broken down.

France, however, is issuing a small, but regular, number of visas to persons in Poland and Germany.
