Negotiations to break a legal deadlock over German compensation payments to victims of forced and slave labor during World War II are slated to take place in Berlin on April 4. Germany has earmarked $5.2 billion for the fund, but payments were delayed after a U.S. judge refused to dismiss Holocaust- related lawsuits against German companies.
