Several persons were injured and police arrested II neo-Nazis.

Hours later, Chancellor Bruno Kreisky, campaigning for the May 6 general elections, spoke at a rally of his Social Democratic Party at Braunau. “There are still some incorrigible people who glorify the rule of the Nazis.” Kreisky told a crowd of 3000 under tight security measures. “We have to argue with them,” he said. “There is no use in staging counter demonstrations. because this gives them even more publicity.”
