Four German war criminals have been released from Breda prison by Dutch authorities after serving two-thirds of their sentences. Two of them–Fritz Vierbahn and Emil Ruehl–were attached to Gestapo head quarters at Amsterdam, where they participated in the torture of Dutch Jews. The released criminals were turned over to West German authorities at the border. Thirty-five other German war criminals are still held at the Breda prison.
