The Neturei Karta, the extreme Orthodox “Guardians of the City, who have been involved in numerous clashes with other elements of the population over Sabbath observance, voted today to ban the entire Hebrew press of the country as reading matter for members of the group.

The Jewish sect, which held a “national conference” here in a small synagogue room, denounced the press as “disseminating heresy among Jews.” Listening to the Israel radio was also put under ban and the 40 delegates to the conference also decided that their children should not attend any schools except yeshivoth.
