The German government has no doubt that the anti-German agitation abroad in connection with the treatment of the Jews will soon die down, Baron Constantine von Neurath, Minister for Foreign Affairs, told representatives of the foreign press at the reception for them held last night.
He admitted that the treatment of Jews in Germany meant hardships for some, but the minister justified it on the ground of necessity, and “in order to strengthen law and justice.” He maintained that the question of the treatment of the Jews in Germany was a German internal problem.
