The establishment of a Semitic Union to comprise Arabs as well as Jews is the political platform of a new Arab party just formed with headquarters at Nablus, one of the leading centers of Arab nationalist propaganda. The aim of the new political group is to unite Arabs and Jews for the common welfare of the country. The party is headed by Aref Al Asali of Nablus.

In a communication addressed to the Palestine Bulletin, Jerusalem daily published in English, the Arab leader invites the attention of the police to attacks to which several members of his party have been exposed. “Our desire is to live in peace with all inhabitants of Palestine, including the Jews. The help that the Jews generously extended to us during the earthquake in 1927 has not been forgotten by us. We believe in the possibility of a united Palestine and intend to strive for it,” the letter concludes.
