Aleph Katz, who made Long John Silver and his pirate crew speak Yiddish in his translation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island,” has now published his latest volume of poems “Akertzeit (Plowing Time). Mr. Katz is also the author of “A Tale of the Sea.” The publisher of the new volume is I. W. Biderman, New York.
Mr. Katz belongs to the modern school of Yiddish poets in America. He is the head of the night staff of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in New York.
