A new agreement for cost of living increases has been signed by representatives of the Histadrut, the labor federation, and the Manufacturers Association of Israel, it was announced here today.

The agreement provides for recomputation of the cost of living every two months instead of every three, as heretofore. The first increase in the new contract will go to a maximum of nine pounds a month for certain types of industrial workers.

It was also agreed to re-establish production committees in all factories employing 50 or more workers. These committees will establish production norms and set incentive pay for exceeding the norms.
