State and national officials were appealed to last night by the New England regional conference of the Jewish National Fund to join in the fight against the White Paper in order that Palestine may be open to Jewish immigration and that restrictions on land purchases by Jews may be lifted.
The conference, which coincided with the first anniversary of the announcement of the plan to establish a “Massachusetts Colony” in Palestine, pledged itself to raise additional funds to secure land for the post-war settlement in Palestine of uprooted Jews from Europe.
