The twentieth annual convention of the Associated Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Associations of New England will be held here during the Labor Day week-end.
The first session of the convention will be held Friday, August 29, with religious services at the Temple Ashkenaz. George E. Gordon, president of the Associated Y’s, will speak. As part of the program planned for Saturday’s session army planes will circle over Harvard Square where the convention will be held. A reception and dance will be held in the evening at the Hotel Commander. The officials of the association will be tendered a luncheon at noon by officials of the city government. Mayor Richard M. Russell will be the chief speaker.
