The New England Region of the Zionist Organization of America will open its convention at Old Orchard Beach, Me., tomorrow. The sessions will last until Sunday.
Elihu D. Stone, President of the New England Zionist Region; Louis Lipsky, President of the Zionist Organization of America and Abraham Goldberg will address the sessions. Max Shoolman, Chairman of the Gan Chaim Corporation and of the commission appointed by Dr. Chaim Weizmann which recently returned from Palestine, will be among the speakers.
Governor Ralph O. Brewster of Maine, will welcome the delegates in behalf of the State.
The laying of the cornerstone of the Beth Israel Temple, Portland, Ore., took place last Sunday.
D. Solis Cohen and Rabbi Frederick Braun were the principal speakers at the exercises. Rev. W. G. Eliot, pastor of the Church of Our Father, participated in the ceremonies.
