The Jewish community of this city is now engaged in making preparations for the annual convention of the New England Zionist Region, which will be held at the Hotel Wendell, Pittsfield, June 7 and 8. This convention and its deliberations is being awaited with great interest in view of the recent developments in the Holy Land and the action of Great Britain with regard to Palestine immigration. Prominent leaders of the national and regional Zionist organizations will attend the sessions and address the conference, among them Louis Lipsky, Emanuel Neumann and Mrs. Archibald Silverman.

Pittsfield is now in the midst of its annual campaign for the Jewish Community Chest, including among its participating agencies the Allied Jewish Campaign. Reports received so far by the campaign chairman, Samuel Sagarin, indicate that a total of $8,500 has been pledged toward the quota of $10,000.
