The first number of “Hamishpat”, a new Hebrew juridical monthly, has just appeared here. The issue contains, among other features, an article on the legal character of the Jewish National Home, by Dr. Georg Landauer, and a review by Norman Bentwich of Mr. Goadby’s book “International and Inter-religious Private Law in Palestine”. The issue also contains juridical information from Palestine and abroad.
The estate of Horace A. Saks, who until his death Nov. 27, 1925, was Vice-President and acting head of Saks & Co., was appraised by the New York State Tax Commission at $2,745,293 gross and $2,308,919 net. All was willed to his widow and two minor children.
