A new warning that the Arab states are contemplating renewal of the Palestine war was sounded here yesterday by Brigadier Yigal Yadin, new Chief of Staff of the Israel Army, in his first order of the day.
“The politicians in the Arab states and their advisers are polishing their swords for a second round,” the order warned. “Our aim is peace, but we must be prepared for war.” Pointing out that the time is short, but the task is great, Brig. Yadin said that in order to achieve the objectives of the Army its personnel must be “trained to perfection, be disciplined, well equipped and inspired by a spirit of pioneering and preparedness.”
