A new Israeli freighter, the 13,600-ton “Nurit, ” built by the Societe des Forges Et Chantiers for the All Seas Israeli Shipping Company, was launched today.
Israel Ambassador Walter Eytan took part in the launching ceremony for the new ship which will enter service in May. The construction of the Nurit was in line with a policy of building as many Israel ships as possible in French shipyards. Other industrial equipment also has been ordered by Israel in France.
