The motorship Rimon, commissioned by the Israeli-owned Zim Navigation Company, was launched here today by Tamara Amir, wife of the Israeli Minister to Holland.
The freighter has specially ventilated holds for fruit cargoes and has cabin space for 12 passengers, as well as a smoking lounge. The Rimon, which is a diesel driven vessel, has modern navigational equipment, including a radio directional finder and radar. It can reach a maximum speed of 14 knots an hour.
