The president of the New Jersey Congress of Parents and Teachers told the convention of the parent-teacher group here today that she does not favor the so-called “released-time” program of religious education.

Mrs. A.G. Link, of Newark, told the 2,600 women representing the state’s 1,214 parent teacher chapters that religious schools can provide “this important and necessary phase of education without setting any children conspicuously apart from others.” She asserted that the similarities among children, rather than their differences, ought to be emphasized in the schools.
