The Zionist Actions Committee praesidium has appointed Eliezer Bavli as temporary comptroller of the Jewish Agency, replacing Dr. Emil Schmorak, it was announced here today. The comptroller’s appointment must be approved by the next plenary session of the Actions Committee in March, 1952, to become permanent, a Jewish Agency spokesman told a press conference, adding that meanwhile Mr. Bavli has been given the full powers of his office.
Last night, the Actions Committee praesidium decided to permit Dr. Emil Schmorak, former comptroller, to publish– on his own responsibility — his report on Agency administration and finances. The Schmorak report will be published simultaneously with the Agency’s reply.
