New Jewish Golf Club Formed by Ousted Members

Following on the attempt of the Michiwaukee golf club to eliminate Jews from its membership comes the announcement of the progress that the Brynwood country club, the new Jewish organization of golf enthusiasts, is making.

Morris Stern is president of the Brynwood club. It was he who sent his resignation voluntarily to the Michiwaukee club as soon as he heard of the Michiwaukee’s action Mr. Stern, who is a circuit court commissioner and former member of the Milwaukee school board, announced that nine fairways and greens will be ready for play by the middle of July and that the entire 18 holes will be ready a year from now.

Dr. L. Koppel is secretary of the club. It has a membership now of eighty-six and is limiting its members to 300.
