The plight of Polish Jewry is described in the sixty-third annual report of the Anglo-Jewish Association, made public here today.
The report, which is based upon a special investigation made in Poland, emphasizes that the various legislative enactments tended to the aggravation of the serious economic position of Polish Jewry. This is especially true with regard to Jewish traders and artisans.
The report speaks of the rise of the anti-Semitic national radical party with aims modelled on the Nazi program.
PARTY A FRESH MENACE
“This party created a fresh danger to the Jewish community in Poland,” the report emphasizes.
Special attention is paid in the report to the powerful anti-Semitic policy maintained by the National Democratic Party in Poland. This policy is not checked to any material extent by the government, the report of the Anglo-Jewish Association declares.
