The newly formed MacDonald cabinet includes a number of British leaders who have long been known for their friendly attitude toward Jews and Jewish questions. The cabinet, however, contains no Jews.

Lord Parmoor, who has been named Lord President of the Council and will be leader of the House of Lords, has been prominently identified with relief organizations for Russia and has also headed numerous appeals for aid for Jewish pogrom sufferers.

The Viscount Haldane, Lord Chancellor, himself a noted scientist, was the host of Dr. Albert Einstein during his recent stay in London.

Arthur Henderson, Secretary of State for Home Affairs, last year signed the Labour Party declaration, favoring Zionism, Noel Buxton, Minister of Agriculture, is another friend of Zionism and an authority on the affairs of Eastern Europe. Josiah Wedgwood, member of the cabinet without a department, will, probably, be the British representative in the League of Nations.

It is understood that J.H. Thomas, Secretary of State for the Colonies, is neutral in his attitude toward Zionism, while Philip Snowden, Chancellor of the Exchequer, is a friend of Zionism and participated in a number of Keren Hayesod banquets.
