A new anti-Semitic book, “Jude and Arbeiter” by J. O. H. Schulz, a resume of which appeared in the Berlin weekly, Die Wahrheit, has just been published in Berlin.
The book, according to Die Wahrheit, deals with the “sinister” influence of the Jew on German workers from the time of Max Beer and Karl Marx down to the World War and afterwards. The book charges that every Marxist celebration in the last ten years had a Jewish stamp on it; that the revolt of 1919 was led by Jews and that the German republic was created by a Jew. Not satisfied with conquering the worker, the writer states, the Jew set out to dominate the theatre, the movies, the arts. This domination of every phase of German life, he finds, was a conspiracy toward world domination by Jews. Thanks to Hitler the Jew was defeated in his ultimate plans.
The same paper expresses indignation at the proposed erection of a Hebrew school on Joachimsthaler street, Berlin, by the Jewish builder Sohn. With hidden threats the weekly urges that the plan for erection of the school be set aside on the ground that “Aryan” tenants living nearby will be annoyed by the chatter of Jewish children and will be obliged to move away. The school will be erected directly opposite the German school, and that, the weekly claims, is inadvisable in that German children will be brought face to face with Jewish children when school hours are over.
