A new immigration ordinance making more strict immigration and deportation regulations was published here yesterday.

Under the new regulations no person may enter Palestine without permission from the Immigration Department at the place of entrance. Transjordanians will be admitted freely despite the ordinance, it is made clear.

The ordinance also creates a new capitalist category, and permits the entry for settlement of capitalists possessing £500. This category is in line with the promise made by the High Commissioner to Jewish Agency representatives.
