Polish Premier Tomasz Arciszewski, addressing the Polish National Council for the first time since he was named to head the government-in-exile, paid tribute today to the sufferings that the Jews of Poland have undergone.
He hailed the heroic uprisings in the ghettos of Warsaw and other cities, and pledged that as soon as Poland is free, he will abolish all discrimination. “Jews will be treated as equals, which is the only natural way to treat citizens,” he said.
