Hungarian Universities Closed until Parliament Concludes Debate on Numerus Clausus; Bethlen Will Consider Vote on Bill as Vote of Confidence in Government (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
To prevent further attacks on Jewish students and on Christian students who ignored the call to a strike issued by the anti-Semitic students to protest against the proposed modification of the numerus clausus bill, Minister of Education Klebelsberg yesterday ordered the closing of Hungarian colleges and universities.
The institutions of learning will be closed during the debate in parliament on the Government bill to modify the numerus clausus. It is expected that the debate will last until the end of the month.
