The work of colonizing Bira-Bidjan, Far Eastern Republic, and also building it up industrially, will henceforth be conducted by a specially created government commission, according to the decision of the Comzet, the government agency for settling the Jews on the land.
A session of the Comzet in which the executive of the Ozet participated, decided, after a lengthy discussion, to reorganize the management of Bira-Bidjan and to organize immediately an independent government organization to conduct the actual work in Bira-Bidjan under instructions from the Comzet.
Ozet is to have representation in this newly created organization. Comzet also decided that it was necessary, as early as possible, to proclaim Bira-Bidjan an independent region of the Far Eastern district.
