The Paris radio today reported that a new special tax will be imposed upon the Jewish communities in France. It did not give any details as to the nature of the tax.
The Berlin radio today announced that the administration of Jewish property in Bulgaria has been taken over by the Ministry of Agriculture. This ministry will, in coordination with other departments of the Bulgarian government, liquidate the property of the Jews deported from Sofia and other parts of the country by transfering real estate to non-Jews and by auctioning off all portable Jewish possessions at public sales.
